Short Bio:

Kathleen Peacock spent most of her teen years writing short stories–all of which contained much angst and none of which survived high school. After working as a graphic designer, unofficial technical writer, and publicist, she returned to school to pursue an undergraduate degree. She lives in New Brunswick–just a few hours from the border with Maine–and is also the author of the Hemlock series.

Long Bio:

Kathleen Peacock grew up in Northern New Brunswick, Atlantic Canada. Upon graduating from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, she worked as the sort of graphic designer who wrote marketing copy and technical manuals on demand. She went on to work in the publicity department of a Canadian independent publisher where she no longer had to design logos and brochures but did have to write a great many press releases. She is currently attending university where she divides her time between English lit, media studies, and psychology. A few areas of academic interest include genre fiction, psychology, fandom, and the adaptation of literary works to the screen.

Kathleen’s first novel, Hemlock, was published in May 2012 by Katherine Tegen Books, an imprint of HarperCollins. Thornhill and Willowgrove followed. Hemlock was also published in the U.K. by Simon & Schuster Children’s Books under the title Deadly Hemlock. Kathleen’s fourth book, You Were Never Here, will be released by Harper Teen on October 20, 2020. It is a young adult mystery set in Atlantic Canada.
